Once in the early morning, Toddy Midouz and Todflex, Carpenters, went to the very outskirts of the village of Rainus. They needed to remove the tree that fell during yesterday"s storm and blocked the entrance to the main road leading to the village.
They walked on the path slowly and talked quietly. Suddenly something whistled past Toddy"s nose. It was a rather weighty pebble.
He struck the fluffy heads of dandelions - and thousands of white parachutes flew into the air. Toddy looked to the right and saw Pip, who stood embarrassedly lowering his eyes. He had a slingshot in his hand.
- Sorry, Mr. Midouz, ”said Pip,“ I shot at the dandelions and did not notice how you came. ”
“It"s okay,” Toddy smiled, stroking the pipa on the head.
- Don"t worry!
and the dwarves continued their way. On the way, Toddy thought about something. He was very inventive, and Pip’s toy slingshot prompted him to one interesting thought.
- Yes, I definitely need to reflect on this, - muttered Toddy Midouz
