Things of my childhood

Sasha Yershanskaya lives sixty years ago, in another century and even in another country. A whole era separates us from Sasha. But, despite this, in some ways, Sasha and I are very similar. We all wanted to be good and gave way to the bus to grandmothers, periodically confusing the age of grandmothers and giving way to thirty -year -old girls. We all loved to ride bicycles and sometimes fell from them. Many of us have our own amazing story about how we finally loved reading books. And, of course, we all had first love in our life, the first fight and the first grief.

But the objects surrounded us completely different. Who now knows what a gang is and why a kerosene is needed? Today we are not leaving the house without a mobile phone, and our grandparents had coins on a rope to call on an automatic phone. We can print a hundred signs per minute on a computer, and they needed to write beautifully and without a blink with a feathee pen.

The book of Alexandra Yershanskaya “The Things of My Childhood” is an opportunity to look at another time, at another era and better understand the people who lived there, and thanks to this, perhaps it is better to understand themselves.
