The story of an old apartment

The old house in the quiet Moscow lane, six spans up and the door to the left - and we are at the Muromtsevs. We entered the old Moscow apartment October in the evening of 1902 and stayed here for a hundred years. We met several generations of the Muromtsevs, their neighbors and friends, witnessed meetings and partings, grief and happiness, losses and hopes that many families have experienced in Russia.
In the history of simple inhabitants of the old Moscow apartment, the history of our country in the twentieth century was reflected. It was told to us not only the heroes themselves, but also their things: furniture and clothes, dishes and books, games and household items. After all, objects carry an imprint of time, keep the memory and traces of the era in which they were created and served. They are witnesses of the story that they do not write about in textbooks, but which is very important for each of us, the history of our families, our friends, the stories of ourselves.
