Anna Akhmatova (1889-1966) is a poet of the Silver Age with a tragic, but vivid fate. The witness of the change of eras - she survived two world wars, the revolution and blockade of Leningrad.
Akhmatova wrote her first poem at the age of 11 - from then until the end of her life she did not cease to engage in poetry.
Akhmatova’s poetry is rich and diverse, but its love lyrics are truly represented in all the diversity: meetings and separation, self -sacrifice and selfishness of loving people, jealousy and painful happiness of reciprocity.
