A little more than five hundred years ago, Europeans learned about the new continent - America. In its central part, they got acquainted with the ancient culture of the Mayan empires and the Aztecs. In the north, proud and ferocious nomadic tribes met. The artist of Nika Golts in his drawings seemed to have passed from south to north - through the suffocating, swampy forests of the Amazon, a narrow Panaman ishot, plateau and deserts of Mexico, the endless prairie of the country of bison to the resinous forests of Canada.
