Sergey Timofeevich Aksakov (1781-1859) was born in Ufa, but the childhood spent the child"s estate, in the village of Aksakov. His father, warmly in love with nature, carried his son hunting and fishing. And his mother, he leaned him to read. Seryozha Aksakov learned the first book by heart.
The nature of the Orenburg Territory, surrounding the boy from an early age, taught him to love and understand his native land, its charm and beauty.
Having studied in the gymnasium, he entered Kazan University, but did not graduate from the course. Then he served in St. Petersburg for several years, where he met Derzhavin. In 1811, Aksakov moved to Moscow and took up literary and theater activities. Soon the Aksakov’s house became the center of the literary life of Moscow. Many famous writers and actors came to the "Aksakov Saturdays".
Aksakov colorfully described his life in the novel "Bagrov-Vnuka" Children"s Years. " Here he talked about a Russian woman, Klya Palagee. Her fairy tales pleased little Seryozha. He remembered many fairy tales and knew how to tell them, imitating Palagee. A wonderful fairy tale about good and nobility "The Scarlet Flower" has become one of our loved ones.
