Nikolai Glazkov (1919-1979) is one of the largest poets of the 20th century, the scale of the talent of which is difficult to overestimate. He is the innovator and founder of the literary direction "unprecedentedism", adjacent to futurism, a piercing lyricist and the author of passionate civil poetics, he created epic poems, screeching aphorisms on the anger of the day, tragicomic plays in poetry. In those years when N. I. Glazkov was much published, he made his poetic notebooks for a narrow circle of friends and acquaintances, and at the same time invented a new word "samizdat", which was firmly entered into Russian vocabulary (originally "Samyby-Izdat") This publication includes works from the earliest to written in the last years of life.
The book includes works of various genres, written for many decades, which allows the reader the poet’s world to be quite fully presented to the reader. The breadth of the interests of Nikolai Glazkov, a variety of topics that cause a poetic response in it, amazes. One of the features of his creative search is “wandering” in poems and poems the most significant stanzas and lines for him. He wrote a lot, but some of the most important ones, according to the poet, were never published during his lifetime. “You need to write better to print, and I need to write worse,” he used to say with a bitter grin to his friends to the literature. Books were written about the life of N. I. Glazkov, a film was shot, a memorial plaque was installed on the house where he was born. Large modern poets gave his work the highest assessment, literary critics wrote a lot about him. I want poetry to find a response in the soul of those who open the book
