Mikhail Mikhailovich Prishvin (1873 - 1954) - Russian writer and publicist. At different times, he worked as a correspondent in newspapers and magazines: “Russian Vedomosti”, “Speech”, “Morning of Russia”, etc. During the First World War, he worked as a military correspondent.
The first story of M. Prishvin “Sashi” was It was printed in 1906 in the Rodnichok children"s journal.
The writer participated in ethnographic expeditions, traveled a lot around the north, Northern Dvina, the White Sea, the Kola Peninsula, the Solovetsky Islands, the Arctic Ocean, and the Scandinavia. During his book of essays “In the Land of Blorious Birds”, which included essays about his travels, the writer was awarded the silver medal of the Russian Geographical Society.
