Doctor of Historical Sciences Alexander Vladimirovich Pyzhikov presents the forgotten work of Vladimir Vasilyevich Stasov "The Origin of Russian Epennets", published in 1868. In the second half of the nineteenth century, this devastating essay became a Ushated cold water spilled on everyone who stubbornly supported the national Christian fictions. This Stasovsky work not only made a noticeable contribution to domestic folklore, but also became the starting point of Russian Eurasianism, which many do not even suspect today. It examines the vast epic material of various peoples of Europe and Asia. The main idea: the identified community of plots reflects not just similar event zigzags, poetic techniques, but expresses the depth of the worldview of the peoples of the past era. Inherent in antiquity, it is far from both the standards of European enlightenment and from confessional trends
