The Island of the Dead Ships is one of the most famous novels by Alexander Belyaev, the founder of Soviet science fiction literature. The author’s skill opens the world of incredible adventures to the reader - a vast Sargass Sea, which stores many dangerous secrets and puzzles under the thickness of drifting algae, comes to life on the pages of the book.
A sea trip on the steamer "Veniamin Franklin" promised to be long and fascinating, but life ordered otherwise.
