In the series "Word for the Word", a book dedicated to a thousand -year Chinese culture is released. This is a collection of Chinese proverbs and sayings compiled by the poet Mikhail Yasyov.
Chinese civilization is one of the oldest in the world. For thousands of years, the people of China carefully collected and kept their everyday observations and experience, enriching the language with a huge number of proverbs, idioms and winged expressions. In these statements, as the mirror, the main features of a Chinese nature are reflected: hard work, patience, restraint and cohesion. A lot of proverbs and sayings are addressed to children and adolescents, helping them adopt precious lessons of wisdom and kindness among the older generation.
Chinese proverbs and sayings collected in this book are able to answer any "why". Why does the frog dream of climbing cherries? Why is there beauty in everything, but not everyone is able to see it? Why is it better to go slowly than to stand still? And, finally, why, until you fall on the hook, you will not become an expert? The original verses of Mikhail Yasnov reveal the meaning of these statements and show how the wisdom of centuries is reflected in our today"s life.
The book was illustrated by the artist Ekaterina Andreeva. This project gave her a chance to realize a long -standing dream - to work in the style of Chinese painting Gochua.
