“The city of our soul” is a publication dedicated to Vologda, a kind of business card of the regional capital, where the image of the native land is reflected by poets of different eras in art and poetic form, and admiration for one of the oldest Russian cities is embodied. In the anthology, not only the famous Vologda authors are represented, but also the prose writers and poets inspired by the northern capital, whose names entered the treasury of Russian literature. The texts of the works, starting with folk tradition, are located in such a way that the unforgettable flavor of ancient Vologda, creating a rare mental mood, is most fully and diverse.
