The heroes of the writer are trying to break out of the shackles of the world around them and create their exceptional sensitive mirage.
The compositions of the Hoffmann are permeated with a sense of the duality of being of the first decades of the XIX century, a painful discord in the soul of man between ideal and reality, art and earthly life. The dignity of the true Creator, which Hoffmann was, cannot come to terms with the constant struggle for a piece of bread, without which human existence is impossible
