Pyos Pyry appeared in France in 1945. He was invented by the artist and cartoonist Jose Kabrero Arnal. A funny PIF became the main character of comics, which were printed in newspapers and magazines. Soon, the stories about the PEF were so loved by French readers that they acquired a new format: they began to print with separate books, filming cartoons, and theatrical productions appeared.
