Dear readers! Before you is one of the tales of Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin - "Tale of the Golden Cockerel", the illustrations for which was performed by the wonderful Russian artist Ivan Yakovlevich Bilibin (1876-1942) The passionate hobby of Bilibin by ancient Russian art was reflected in his illustrations for Pushkin"s fairy tales: to the "Tale of King Saltan", "Tale of the Golden Cockerel", "Tale of a fisherman and a fish". The Bilibinsky style is characterized by the beauty of the patterned pattern and the exquisite decorativeness of color combinations. Illustrations for the Tale of the Golden Cockerel "are deservedly recognized as the most striking manifestation of this style. The artist hoped that "... under the influence of passion for past beauty ... finally a new Russian style would create, quite individual and non -nuclear." Children"s books illustrated by the artist had a huge impact on the design culture of their time, and for many years the perception of Russian fairy tale has become largely Bilibinsky.
