A find for lovers of history, literature, mythology and everyone who loves unusual, enchanting fairy tales. The second book of the series continues the first, but is not closely connected with it plot, so it can be read separately from the first.
With the advent of autumn for Maya and Tau, the grandfathers of the grandfather of the friend, sad days came. The academic year began with troubles at school, and grandfather Druis himself still fell ill. To cure him, the help of the dragon will be required. And a new heart. Maya and Tau went to the world of uncle oak, because there are old friends and magical stories. Uncle oak is an ancient magic tree, somewhere inside its trunk a door is hidden through which you can get into amazing places.
Brother and sister will get acquainted with extraordinary creatures. On the way they will meet: a brave hunter for dragons from the stone island, boy Gilgamesh, who does not grow up, a crazy mysterious, relict Kelonia tortoise, lunar sons Tartuf and a bombone. Each of the heroes will teach something Maya and Tau. And, of course, they will help save the grandfather of the friend. Everything is possible in the magical world.
The author convinces us that a fairy tale can be told about anything. And solve many problems with its help - in a word, not by force.
The book can be read aloud to preschoolers, and children from 8 years old will be able to read themselves.

Fantasy with many heroes and storylines.
The magical world where the fate of many heroes are interwoven - fabulous and real. Here you can meet the American poetess Miss Dikinson, the famous violin master of Warneri, as well as literary heroes - Gilgamesh, Ahaba. However, the author interpreted their images in his own way, so it is not worth looking for complete similarity.
There are a lot of references to the operas, complex words (names of weapons, musical instruments, rare trees) We gave footnotes, but it is not necessary to read them. It will be better if the child himself wants to learn more about the word, hero or phenomenon unfamiliar to him. There are no footnotes in the original edition - apparently, the author wanted the reader to show curiosity and to find out everything on his own.

About the trilogy
We released the trilogy of Josep Lewis Badal in three separate books. In each of the volumes, the same main characters, however, the units are not connected by plot, so they can be read separately. In each of the books, in addition to the main story, the author tells many others - these are the stories of secondary heroes, and traditions, and fairy tales from childhood. For this reason, we can say that a fairy tale, word, fantasy is the soul of this trilogy. Three books are approximately equal in volume and illustrated with black-and-white drawings with colored gluing
