The new poetic collection of the famous poet and author of the spiritual chants of Hieromonk Roman included poems written in the Sretensky Monastery in 2021-2022 during treatment for serious illness. Life in the capital became for the father of the novel a kind of shutter, involuntary feat, a time of deep experiences, thoughts and prayers. All this was reflected in the verses included in the collection

Poems presented in the book - about patience and gratitude, about faith and trust in God, about the adoption and true sense of the suffering and trials sent to us, about real happiness and genuine love , about the life of the earthly and eternal. In these verses, Father Roman shares with us spiritual experience from the experienced and helps to find a close path leading to salvation.

Hieromonk Roman (in the world, Alexander Ivanovich Matyushin) was born on November 16, 1954 in the village of Ryabchevsk, Trubchevsky district of the Bryansk region. His father, Ivan Konstantinovich, is a participant in the Great Patriotic War. Mother, Zoya Nikolaevna, is a rural teacher. She was a believer and raised three children in the faith.

From his youth, Alexander wrote poems, stories and songs.
