Who are the Pechenegs? How is the history of this nomadic tribe related to the history of Ancient Russia? It turns out that the connections of Kievan Rus and the Great Steppe have always been very cramped, albeit very contradictory. The enmity between the Pechenegs and the Eastern Slavs, including the clearings, was replaced by the conclusion of the military and marriage unions, and frank hatred - friendship and love. The story “Son of the Great Steppe Pecheneg” is about one of these Pechenegs - Khan Kuchyug, who switched to Russian service under Prince Vladimir Svyatoslavovich, St. Vladimir.
