Zhang Tszyyan, Chinese poet and director, was born in 1956 in Harbin. In 1998 he graduated from the Central Theater Institute. He released the collections "half -open door", "goddess with a lantern", "goodbye to Berlin", "Diary of Pilgrim" and others. The poet’s poems are translated into English, French, German and Japanese.
The lyrics of Zhang Zyyan are the poetry of the earthly journey and spiritual pilgrimage, marked by the unity of the path of a person in high and earthly dimensions. In this, the muse of the modern Chinese poet is akin to the Muse of the Far Wandering of the Russian Poet of the Silver Age Nikolai Gumilyov.
In the work of Zhang Zyan, Vostochny, Buddhist motifs organically coexist with the cultural symbols of the European Renaissance, Reformation and the era of modernism.
