The book "Sharmets from Archimedes Street", so named after the picture of the same name of the artist Felix Nussbaum, who traged in 1944, is a collection of essays about the art of Bruno Schulz, Albrecht Dürer, Lucas Cranach, Jerome Bosch, Francisco Goya, Mikhail Schwarzman and other masters .
Before becoming a writer, Igor Shestkov was an artist. In the Moscow period of life-he participated in exhibitions of non-conformist artists in the city committee of graphs on Malaya Gruzinskaya Street in Moscow. In Germany, he repeatedly exhibited, made reports, published various texts about art in periodicals. Visiting museums and galleries, examining the albums of painting and graphics and thinking about what he saw - has always been and remains his favorite pastime.
