Elena Guro (1877-1913) - Radiant poetess, artist, theorist of futurism. In 1909, her first book of stories, poems and plays "Sharmanyka" came out, and in 1914, after the death of Elena, her diary records "Heavenly camels". These two cycles entered our collection.
Most of all, Guro loved the wind, forest, camel and freedom. Its text is light and joyful, consists of small sketches of quiet everyday life, her thoughts, her sadness and the mystical divination of the terrible and passionate future. Guro"s style goes back to the original combination of symbolism, impressionism and avant -garde, and in the foreground there is always harmony and divinity of nature. Khodasevich calls her the most "real", contrasting all the avant -garde: "" Oh, a full bowl, you are rich, heart, in everything that believed! " - <...> at least this phrase once and once separates itself from those with whom it was brought up only by literary age and overall
