Seryozha

Vera Panova lived a difficult life, experienced all the hardships that fell to the share of civilians during the Great Patriotic War, learned what repression was. Perhaps a huge life experience, acquaintance with various people, suffered suffering and allowed her to find the surprisingly mental intonation that distinguishes her books. Especially the story "Seryozha", which deserved a vocation immediately after publication. It was read, discussed and even filmed: the film "Seryozha", in which George Danelia debuted as the director, received a large prize at the Carlovy Vary Film in 1960.
A new person appears in the family of a preschooler Seryozha - his mother marries Dmitry Korostelev. Very soon, the stepfather becomes a friend of a little boy: he not only buys him a desired bicycle, but also communicates with him on an equal footing, respectfully perceives his thoughts and actions. Nevertheless, Seryozha’s cloudless childhood suddenly ends with the appearance of the brother of Leni, who now takes all the attention of his mother. A sense of abandonment, loneliness intensifies when he finds out that the whole family moves to Kholmogory and leaves him with a neighbor. However, the experiences of little Seryozha do not go unnoticed by his loved ones.
