For the first time, the book contains translations of the most significant poems by Gerard Menlie Hopkins (1844-1889), the largest English poet-modernist, whose innovative work was influenced by many outstanding English-speaking poets of the twentieth century, among them Wisten Hugh, Dylan Thomas, Sylvia Plates and Sheimas Khini . Among the works included in the collection, the poem "Crack" of Germany "" is the most significant and well -known work of Hopkins, the famous cycle of the “sonnets of abandonment” created by the poet at the end of life, as well as the comic poem "Consule Jones", discovered only recently, in 1999 G.
