Emil Verkharn (1855-1916) - Belgian franco -speaking poet and playwright. Vl. Bryusov was fascinated by the Verkhny, he translated him a lot, wrote about him, adopting largely a symbolistic tradition for Russian -speaking literature. Valery Yakovlevich called the Verkharna "Dante of our time", but, unfortunately, by the 21st century his lyrics are much forgotten in Russia. We propose to recall the great poet of the XIX-XX centuries. As part of the chosen and translated V.Ya. Bryusov of his poetry
