Russian folk tales and epic tales

Russian folk tales and epics are an integral part of our culture.
The collection includes well -known fairy tales about animals from childhood, magical and household Russian folk tales: “Fox and crane”, “Cat, rooster and fox”, “Winter of animals , Tsarevna-Snow , Finist-a clear falcon , Flying ship , Seven Simeons , Porridge from the ax and others.
Unlike fairy tales, where the plot and heroes are fiction , epics are based on real events. That is why epics make it possible to plunge into the extraordinary poetic world of antiquity. Epicians (or as they were previously called “antiquity”) were composed in distant times, and they began to record them only at the end of the 18th century.
The epic includes the epics of the “Kiev cycle” - about Prince Vladimir, about the heroes of the Russian Earth Ilya Muromets, Alyosha Popovich, Dobryne Nikitich: “Ilya Muromets and Nightingale the Robber”, “Dobrynya and Alyosha”, “The feat of the youth of the Kievite and the trick of the governor”. And also - the epics of the Novgorod cycle. Their heroes are trading Posad people: “Volga and Mikula Selyaninovich”, “Sadko” and others
