It is no accident that Yevgeny Yevtushenko, Oleg Chukhontsev, Eugene Rhine called Boris Slutsky the great poet, and Joseph Brodsky believed that he began to write poetry, reading Boris Slutsky.
The collection includes as practically textbooks - well -known masterpieces of the poet - some of them are first published without censorship amendments and previously assumed typos. A sample of unrelated poems published in the periodical is included by the faithful assistant to the poet Yu. L. Boldyrev, but not included in any of the books. And a sample of poems found in the archives and published in the periodical in 2017-2018
