The sentimental story by Louise May Alcott tells about the fate of the thirteen -year -old Rosa Campbell. The girl lost her parents, and she has a new stage of life. She moves to the house to relatives, and now a large friendly family will take up her upbringing. The rose will be the only girl in a noisy boyish company. And at once, her seven cousins will offer her their protection and devotion. In pre -revolutionary Russia, the story was recommended for reading in women"s institutes and gymnasiums, because it gave a lot of reasonable, balanced tips for growing girls.
