A small orphan, having sipped grief, finding herself in unfamiliar places, among strangers, managed, like Robinson on a uninhabited island, not only to survive, but also to create her own, quite successful economy. Thanks to the stamina of the spirit, perseverance and hard work, the girl managed to win the love and respect of others, overcome all kinds of difficulties, hardships and, in the end, find her happiness.
Illustrations for the story were made by the French artist F. Lix at the end of the 19th century, then V. D. Vladimirov made a translation of the story into Russian
