Victor Toporov (1947 - 2013) - recognized master of poetic translation. He owns the owls of the poems of the verses of John Donn, Redjard Kipling, Oscar Wilde, Paul Tselan and Wisten Hugh Oden. Toporov shone like a virtuoso of the versification, flaunted with elegant and withdrawal rhymes, an sophisticated understanding of rhythm and intonation. Nevertheless, he had the main search: he knew how to find the most important in the inner sense of what was said in the human intonation of the translated poet. The master"s handling with the word made Viktor Toropov a real lamp of a poetic translation in Russia. The book contains the best examples of the work of Toropov-translator.
