Charles Perrault (1628-1703)-French tale writer, poet and critic of the era of classicism. Born in Paris in the family of a judge of the Parisian parliament. The whole world knows Charles Perrault as a beautiful storyteller, but the craving for literary creativity manifested itself in it not so early, and at first it was more entertainment than a serious, deep occupation.
Charles followed in the footsteps of his father: he became a lawyer, then - a tax collector, even later - a clerk with his brother, architect Claude Perrault. Studying in college, Perrault wrote poems, many of which were very popular. However, the beginning of his literary career Charles Perrault considered the poem in the comic style of the “wall of Troy, or the origin of Burlesque "(1653) One of the ministers of King Louis XIV Jean Colbert drew attention to the work of the novice writer.
