The work is dedicated to one of the most striking abnormal phenomena. The position of the latter in the structure of knowledge is considered. The ontological status of the Poltergeists is justified. The methodology of a comprehensive study of poltergeists has been developed, including descriptive psychological and instrumental studies. The results of the study of the Krasnoyarsk, Tomsk, Peter and Paul, Omsk and other poltergeists are given. The auto -wave model of self -organization of magnetic, psychodynamic and chronal vortices is proposed. The concept of poltergate induction is introduced. A high danger of a phenomenon for researchers and society has been established. The need to develop safety precautions in the study of abnormal phenomena is discussed. Work may have a fundamental value for expanding the worldview. An effective area of application is human ecology. This monograph was prepared for printing and deposited in Vinity in 1993 (No. 1013-B93.19.04.93), but for many reasons it was not possible to publish it for many years
