“Liberated Jerusalem” is the famous Knight"s epic Torkvato Tasso (1544-1595), a free interpretation of the events of the first crusade, which ended with the capture of Jerusalem. An unsurpassed battles on which fictional characters are adjacent to real historical personalities, and love adventures are replaced by fantasies with the participation of sorcerers and evil spirits. The book is published in the exemplary translation of Roman Dubrovkin, made by rhymed octaves in compliance with all the stylistic characteristics of the original. The publication is illustrated by a series of engravings by Jambatista Piazzett (1683–1754) and is accompanied by historical and literary commentary
