Rabbit"s gaze

The young teacher Fumi Kotany comes to work in an elementary school located in the industrial region of the city of Osaka. In the class of Fumi, an orphan Tetsuzo is studying - a silent and unfriendly boy who seems to be only interested in flies. The patience of Kotani, her willingness to understand and hear the child help her to find a common language with Tetsuzo. And it turns out that sometimes the ability of one person to look at the world is quite enough for the life of many people to change - for the better.
The novel of the famous Japanese writer Kenziro Hitani "View of the Rabbit" (1974) withstood many reprints (with a total circulation of more than two million copies), was translated into English, widely known in the UK, the USA and Canada and was nominated for the Hans Medal Christian Andersen .
