The main character Siomare Batista, whose name is translated as "The one who is ready for war", is almost 16 years old. From birth, they say to her: "oh, it’s not easy with you." Siomara from the Patriarchal Dominican family, which leaves a deep imprint on her upbringing and relationships with her parents. "Poet X" is a book written as a poetic diary of Siomara. Turning over the pages, we seem to plunge into a difficult, contradictory, sangian world of a teenage girl who painfully looking for her own voice. And he finds him, despite the skepticism of friends, a misunderstanding of parents and the crisis of faith.
In the thin modern lyrics, problems that excite modern girls are disclosed - from objectification among male peers to misunderstanding in the family and disappointment in traditional attitudes.
