The poetic fate of Boris Slutsky turned out to be a difficult, long post -war time, and the war became a watershed in the biography of the poet, was unprintable. The first book was published only in 1957, and most of the poems were found after the death of the poet.
And yet the only major poet of his time was called Boris Slutsky Alexander Mezhirov. He was considered a great poet Evgeny Yevtushenko, Oleg Chukhontsev, Evgeny Rhine, and Joseph Brodsky - that he began to write poetry when he read Slutsky. "Russian poetry would not have survived" if there were no Slutsky in it, Dmitry Bykov writes in an article that opens the book - "... The literary manner found by Slutsky allows us to talk about anything - with absolute directness and naturalness.
