Sasha Black (Alexander Mikhailovich Glickberg, 1880-1932) - Russian poet, prose writer, translator, one of the most original artists of the Silver Age.
He created the satirical mask of an intellectual prisoner, denounced the pettiness, emptiness and uniformity of a vain philistine existence in all areas of social and literary being. All of Russia was read by his poems. According to K. Chukovsky, there was no such pounder, such a student, such a doctor, a lawyer, a teacher, an engineer who did not know him by heart. His poems have not lost significance today.
In the last years of his life, he wrote stories and original “Soldiers" tales” genre. Known as a master of poems and prose for children.
