In 1820, the sixteen -year -old student Fedor Tyutchev wrote a poetic message to the already famous poet Alexander Pushkin, the author of the Oda “liberty”, according to rumors, who declared himself a supporter of regicide. The analysis of the Tyutchev poem and its social and literary context gives a detailed idea of the structure of the public sphere, political discussion and poetic language in Russia at the turn of the 1810-1820s
