Physical kaleidoscope

You picked up a not quite ordinary book. It can be read from any page, jump from place to place, choose only what will seem interesting. In short, turn as you want. In a word - kaleidoscope. The role of fragments of colored glass, of which the pictures are compiled, physical concepts play here - quantities, laws, and sometimes even entire areas of physical science. With each turn of our “kaleidoscope”, the main character for a while becomes one (or several) of the concepts, others retreat into the shadow or help the “hero” to show themselves in all its glory. And the mirror records, between which patterns flicker, replace questions and tasks, sayings and miniatures, micropods and stories.
Kaleidoscope, as you know, is a toy, however, invented by a physicist - David Bruster. This toy can be fun in literally - enjoy replacing beautiful views or in a figurative - to arrange a quick change in faces and events.
Even if our “kaleidoscope” will serve only for these purposes, the author of the book Alexander Leonovich and the editors of the journal “Quantum”, on whose pages his issues appeared for many years, they will consider that they worked not in vain.
