Petunia

The book "Petunia" included two tales about the goose of Petunia: "Stupid Goose" and Christmas of Petunia ". They were invented and painted by an American artist of Swiss origin Roger Duvoisen in the 1950s. During his 48-year career of the author and illustrator, he created 42 pictures-pictures and illustrated more than 140 books for children. In the stories of Petunia, more than one generation of readers around the world has grown. Now Petunia comes to Russian children.
"stupid goose". A stupid goose of Petunia lives on the farm of Mr. Kabachka. She has a good heart, and she hurries to the rescue, even when she is not asked about it. The inhabitants of the cattle yard listen to her and believe: after all, Petunia has a book! Soon there is no one left on the farm who would not suffer from her "wise" advice. And once a real misfortune happens, which almost cost a life to many animals. And to blame Petunia. Then she understands that it is not enough just to declare herself smart, you need to know a lot. To become truly useful, Petunia begins to learn to read.
"Christmas of Petunia". On a neighboring farm, Petunia meets the beautiful Gusak Charles, who is fed to the festive table. She is developing a military plan for salvation. She manages to recapture Charles, but they find a fugitive and again planted in jail. Then Petunia decides to redeem the hussak from the owners. To earn the desired amount of money, she shows miracles of ingenuity. The devotion of Petunia touches the heart of the hostess, and Charles release to freedom. It all ends with a happy wedding and universal fun, as befits a real Christmas fairy tale.
