The poems of Sergei Ermolaev, like birds, break out of the poet’s soul - they are intricate, not always smooth, sometimes ruffled, although with honed rhymes, but each time - frank, sincere, deep, calling for thoughts.
A collection of poems included in the book is certainly biographical, this is a kind of response of the poet’s emotional state to various life impressions. And the main thing of them, of course, is the whims of human fate:
Fate just pick us in our hands / and manage ourselves, as it is, / do not hang your nose from stupid boredom / and remember about love and honor. So, if you want, you don’t want, but you need to “look for such forces in yourself, / so that you can cope with fire, / do not succumb to the cowardice of the shameful / and have the courage in everything.”
And this poetic credo today is more important than ever!
