With particular joy we present our book. It is dedicated to the life and martyrdom of the American Orthodox St. Peter Aleutian.
This book, partly similar to a comic book, we began to write, relying on the meager data known about St. Peter. He was baptized by the Russians from Alaska at the beginning of the 19th century, he was engaged in the trade in fur (like all the Eskimos of that time), was captured by the Spaniards while swimming with his comrades to the Russian settlement of Fort Ross in the north of San Francisco. In 1815, St. Peter took martyrdom from Catholic missionaries who forced him to abandon the Orthodox faith.
