The story of the Polish writer Maria Konopnitskaya consists of many different stories that are intertwined. Magic creatures - gnomes - help kind people and punish greedy and evil. Children are happy to communicate with small funny keepers of treasures, because these wizards know so much interesting. They even have their own court scientist chronicler, whom they are very proud of. In this fairy tale, gnomes leave the underground kingdom and temporarily settle on earth. But they manage to make a poor peasant rich, and his children are healthy and strong, help Marys to find a family. And only having finished all the things, they return to their underground crystal grotto.
