The name of Vladimir Ivanovich Dahl, the author of the “Explanatory Dictionary of the Living Great Russian Language”, everyone knows in our country. In the Dahl collection, there are more than a thousand folk tales for children and adults recorded from the words of ordinary peasants and literally processed by the writer.
The most famous tales for children were included in the book "Old Man-Code": "Snegurochka Girl", "Crane and Heron", "War of mushrooms with berries", "Fox and Bear", as well as games, proverbs, riddles, puzzles, puzzles Songs and castens selected by the famous historian of literature Ivan Khalturin. The collection is unusual in structure: fairy tales alternate with riddles and proverbs, next to the foster and tongue twisters - folk games, then again fairy tales.
