Lidia Charskaya is a Russian writer who, at the beginning of the 20th century, became popular among children. She wrote about what excites young readers, she wrote simply and fascinatingly. The heroes of her works are ordinary boys and girls who had to face cruelty, betrayal, anger. But, in spite of everything, they did not lose the ability to forgive and see in people only good.
