The book begins with sunset: the sun sits down, and the boy begins to worry due to the onset of the night, urging the night knights. Each house in the dark turns into a castle, on the guard of which bold knights, archers, captains and magical creatures stand. They have one goal - to protect the sleeping child from night fears. They boldly enter the battle with monsters, and only when the dawn comes, they disappear again. Waking up, the child understands that there are no monsters, but there are knights that store him until the morning - and the colors at the end of the book are replaced by pink -gold, dawn.
Poems translated by Julia Simbirskaya decorate the book and add fabulousness to it. Caria Godbi"s illustrations are made in blue-violet gamut, which emphasizes gives it notes of magic and atmosphere of the night.
