Myshkin House. Sammi and Julia in the port

Many readers know Myshkin’s house - this is a large building, where there are many, many apartments, shops and even small factories. Karina Shapman used it as a decoration for her first book about Myshkin’s house. For each next book, she built new decorations, and soon Myshkin theater appeared, Myshkin Circus and Myshkin Park of entertainment. With the publication of this new book about the port, Myshkin’s house has grown so that it turned into a whole city, with streets, channels, alleys and berths.
Myshkin House is built of cardboard boxes, all kinds of scraps and papier-mash. The port and water are made of the same materials. Ships, boats and rafts are built of paper with cardboard, and a beautiful bridge - from ice cream sticks.
Each book tells about different old professions. This shows a cable workshop in which children will be able to see the ropes weave. They will also get acquainted with the custom of racing on pimonyhels. This is an old tradition that is not forgotten today: races on homemade rafts and boats are regularly arranged in different Dutch cities.
In these unusual competitions, they wanted to take part and, loved by children in previous books, brave mice - Sammi and Julia. Will friends be able to build a raft with their own hands and will they win a prize? Small readers are again waiting for amazing stories that have occurred by self and Julia.
