PEK HINA - the famous Korean writer and illustrator, laureate of the literary prize Astrid Lindgren 2020. Born in Seoul in 1971. She graduated from the Pedagogical Department of the University of NILVA and the multiplier department at the California Institute of Arts.
Having the rich experience of the multiplier, PEK Hin creates illustrated books with a unique storytelling and original characters, each of which has its own memorable character.
In 2005, at the International Children"s Book Fair in Bologna, for the book “Cloud Bread” was awarded the award as the best illustrator of the year. In 2012, she became a laureate of the Korean literary prize for the book “Bann Fairy”, and in 2013 she received a literary prize of a children"s book in Chanvone. In 2018, her book “Magic Lollows” was included in the honorary list of the International Council for Children"s and Youth Literature
