Ninth grader Mitya lives in a small cold city in the far north. He falls in love with Natasha from a parallel class and devotes poetry to her. Unable to withstand threats from Natasha fans and ridicule of classmates, Mitya goes to the hospital. On the advice of a doctor, he begins to keep a diary in which he writes about hospital everyday life and talks about his life. Mitya thinks why he fell in love with Natasha and whether he was loved, why he was scared, why his mother could not understand him and why his father, whose advice would come in handy, lives far with another family. He asks himself serious, adult questions and tries to find honest answers to them.
"" And for some reason, this feeling of happiness was breaking through the grief, ”Mitya recalls. He does not know why. How does happiness make his way through grief? And I don"t know. I just read the pages of the diary and feel happiness with Mitya. I see that it happens. And I hope this is "medicine". Such a faith in a good and talented person. "
