Greek poetry throughout its history was rich, original, deeply national, but open to external influences. These characteristic features have not changed to this day, and in the conditions of a globalized culture, it does not close in itself and does not dissolve in an impersonal "global" literary process, but continues to maintain its special identity. But, this identity is neither homogeneous nor monolithic: inside it stands out its poles and their trends, "Westernic", "soil ”, conservative and innovative, looking for rapprochement with the European world and insisting in search of a unique national path
