The collection “Bear Bruno in the Forest” continues a series of cognitive shots, created by the famous Swedish writer and illustrator Gunilla Ingves. The book included two stories: “Bear Bruno and Ants” and “Bear Bruno, a frog Akke and the little inhabitants of the pond”.
In the first story, Mishka Bruno walks through the forest, where he meets an ant Eric, who invites Mishka to look at his house, in an anthill. An inquisitive bear, when he wants, can be done small. How? This is his secret! Having become the size of an ant, the bear dives in one of the moves of the anthill and learns about how the numerous ant community lives. Then his friend Loll, his friend Loll, is running behind him and together they go to watch ants grazing aphids and getting sweet syrup. The bear then carefully brings his observations into the diary. Mishkin notes and drawings occupy four pages: anthill in context, ant “professions”, food of ants, their friends and enemies, as well as other interesting information about the life of ants.
In the second story, Mishka Bruno goes to the pond and meets the tadpoles of Akke, who teaches Mishka to swim and dive. At the bottom of the pond, friends help the cursed larva to fix the house and barely take off their legs from the huge dragonfly larva. Suddenly, Mishka notices that Akke had a tail and he turned into a frog. In the evening, they sit on a sheet of water lilies and see how the dragonfly larvae is chosen from the water and drops the shell. In the morning, the dragonfly spreads its wings and soars into the air. All that he managed to see and find out during this walk, the observation bear writes in his diary. Four pages are full of it with notes and drawings: the life cycle of Akke from the eggs to an adult frog, enemies of frogs, as well as insects and other creatures that he saw in the pond.
